Yangnyeom Korean Fried Chicken

 Fried Chicken is at the top of our list when it comes to dishes that we normally order outside or cooked at home. Filipino style recipe is really good and feels like home, but the Korean Style Fried Chicken takes it to another level. It's something that you would want to cook when it's a special occasion or you want to wow your guests with your food


Koreans are known for their Fried Chicken, and I get it now. Theirs are so good! I cannot get over it ! I love how its so crunchy, even with their special sauce covering the entire chicken. If you are going to begin cooking Korean Chicken or any of their popular dishes, you have got to start with this Yangnyeom Chicken Recipe. It's very easy, that you will get it on the first try for sure. The taste is so delicious. You will want to try other Korean dishes because of this recipe. Let's begin !


Yangnyeom Fried Chicken


Flavor and prepare your Chicken !

Put 1kg Chicken, cut into 3 inch pieces, onto a bowl, and flavor it with 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper. Add 2 eggs, 1/4 cup all purpose flour, 1/2 cup potato starch and 1/2 tsp baking soda. Mix well using your hands until everything is fully incorporated and your chicken pieces are fully covered. Set Aside, and prepare to fry.


Fry on high heat !

Pre heat your cooking pan and put your stove on a high heat. When your pan is hot enough, you may start frying. Put enough oil to cover the chicken as this is deep fried. When the oil is searing hot, at around 330 degrees Fahrenheit if using a thermometer. Drop your marinated chicken onto the oil one by one. Make sure that your chicken is not touching each other. Just continue stirring while it cooks. Toss and turn your chicken once in a while. The first fry with take about 8 to 12 minutes depending on the size of your chicken. When done, drain and set aside. Do not turn off your stove because we are doing a second fry. This process will give your chicken that Korean style fried chicken crunch. Fry the already cooked chicken onto your pan for another 8 to 12 minutes. Same process, you have to stir the chicken to ensure that all sides are cooked. Remove from the oil, and drain. Set Aside.


Start that super delicious Yangnyeom Sauce Recipe !

Put your sauce pan on a medium heat stove. Put 2 tbsp oil, then add 3pcs minced garlic. Saute a bit then add 1/3 cup tomato ketchup, 1/3 cup honey or corn syrup, whichever is available, 2 tsp apple cider vinegar ( you may use regular white vinegar too), 2 tbsp gochujang paste and 2 tbsp samjang paste. Gochujang will make it spicy.  Let it simmer. And this is the time that you would want to add the Crispy fried chicken. Toss and mix until all are covered with the sauce.  Transfer it onto your serving plate and sprinkle with roasted sesame seeds on top!

My favorite Japanese Restaurant - Must Try !

Sushi Master Caloocan & Malabon !!!


Most Japanese restaurants create dishes that are high quality, has authentic Japanese flavors and awesome presentation is a must. Those are the traits I noticed and love whenever we go to Japanese restaurants around our place. Now, Sushi Master in Caloocan city got all that! It's just a small local restaurant, which is why it's a bit surprising. The food quality is on point. It's like eating at a high end restaurant, but the best thing is, since its a small restaurant, the prices are way cheaper than those that are considered bigger companies. The owner is a Filipino, from Malabon city who worked and lived in Japan years ago. That should explain the authenticity of the dishes they serve. And I think he is talented enough to bring those flavors here, and recreate them through his dishes. 




My personal favorites on their menu, that you should also try is the Chashu Ramen, Pork Gyoza, Beef Gyudon rice topping, Beef Pepper Rice Bento, Ebi Tempura ( omg their sauce is the best one I tried !) , Laksa and of course their sushi !! Even those regular maki are really good and so affordable too !  There a lot on the menu, and everything is delicious. I have tried them all since Sushi Master is my favorite go to restaurant whenever I crave for awesome Japanese dishes. YOU HAVE TO GO HERE! See you :)

Easy Creamy Beef and Mushrooms Steak Recipe

Having to cook so much in a day, one must know recipes that are easy to make and require less effort without compromising the quality of the dishes you will serve. The goal is to make everyone happy, as much as you can. Being a mom, I think we already got that. Since it's a Saturday and the whole family is present, this easy, creamy Beef and Mushrooms Steak recipe is in order. Its delicious, everyone loves it and its super easy recipe to make ! Let's begin !



Easy Creamy Beef and Mushrooms Steak Recipe


Marinate your Beef !

Using a shallow bowl, marinate your 1kg Beef, cut into strips. Add 1/4 cup oyster sauce, 1/4 cup soy sauce , 1tsp ground pepper and 1 tbsp garlic powder. Mix thoroughly using your hands. Cover it with cling wrap and set aside to marinate for a minimum of 30. minutes.


Start Cooking !

Put your non stick pan, on a high heat stove. When your pan is hot enough, you may add in the beef and 2 tbsp butter. The beef will release its own water. Cover with lid. Stir until water is gone. Then you can add 10pcs crushed garlic , 1 can mushrooms and 1 pork cube. Stir until golden brown. Add 1 cup of all purpose cream and 1/4 cup water and 1 tbsp Liquid seasoning. Cover your pan and let it simmer until the water is reduced. Stir and turn off your heat. Transfer to a serving plate and top with fried garlic. 


Serve and enjoy!
