Grilled Pork Chop Burgoo Style Recipe –A Cheap Dish For a Perfect First Date

Do you remember your first date? It’s an exciting time for a person, especially a girl to dress up and be the best she can be on that day. An hour is a not enough just to do your make up and be close to perfection, look wise of course. Now, for the boys the preparation is mostly about money because they tend to want to buy the food even if the girl offers. However, there may come a time that you have an important date but you don’t have enough money. Is that a problem? Heck no! Check this out. Burgoo serves one of the tastiest grilled pork chops in Manila right? But it may be pricey for some. So, in the event that you still want to provide good food to your date, here is my very own pork chop ala  Burgoo recipe. It is cheap, and as delicious as the original. You don’t have to have a lot of money for a perfect date. You just have to be creative as always. You’ll never know; a girl may be more impressed from the effort you exerted on your date. Plus, this can provide you a very good first impression on your first date.

1 kl pork chop
Minced garlic
1 pack McCormick gravy mix
1 chicken cube
3 tsp Sage powder
½ butter
½ tsp sugar
salt and pepper

How The Pork chop Burgoo Recipe Is Made:

1.     Marinate pork for a minimum of 1 hr. in garlic, sage powder, seasoning and salt mixture. Bang the pork with a mallet or meat tenderizer before marinating for it to absorb the flavor as well as tenderized the meat before grilling.
2.     Grill the pork chops until golden brown. This may take only a few minutes. You don’t want to over cook it since it may harden
3.     Prepare the gravy.
4.     Dissolve McCormick gravy mix in water as directed on the package. Set aside
5.     On a heated shallow saucepan, sauté garlic on ¼ butter for a few seconds. Do not burn the garlic.
6.     Pour the dissolved gravy mix immediately
7.     Bring to boil while continuously stirring
8.     Add the sage powder, chicken cube, sugar, salt and pepper
9.     Add in the remaining butter
10. You may add more salt according to your taste
11. Put the grilled pork chop in a serving dish and serve with gravy. It is better if you can serve it with corn, carrots and green peas sauteed in butter side dish and java rice.

Now, that is what you call the best pork chop ala Burgoo recipe! This can turn your date into something really really good! Your first date is one of the most special dates you will remember for a long time. It’ll be a very important event in your life once your date ended up as your partner in life. So, a little creativity won’t hurt. You will never know if that date is the one you will be telling your grandchildren in the future. It is better if you can provide them something close to perfection on how your love story started right? –xoxo Your Sisig Master
